Christine Sandifer Basketball Shoot Out for Non-Violence

Description:

The “Christine Sandifer ShootOut for NonViolence” is a basketball tournament with a purpose. It’s primary mission is to unify the residents of Oakland neighborhoods while also bringing awareness to violence and violence prevention in inner city communities. Hosted at Oakland’s historic Mosswood Park, the tournament features celebrity sponsored teams, DJs, food, and Run The World clothing. The Tournament takes place during #SoOaklandWeek and is a collaborative effort between Run the World, Recherche Events, So Oakland and Youth Radio.
The “Christine Sandifer Basketball ShootOut for NonViolence” is a free, family friendly event targeted to the Oakland community and surrounding East Bay area. We invite and welcome anyone who wants to create change and bring safety to our streets and neighborhoods. We hope this event will increase community engagement, invite folks to get involved with issues that affect us and ultimately improve the quality of life for Oakland families and its future generations. Join us Saturday August 4th at 11 am for a fun-filled day of love and awareness.
We hope to see you there!
